DESCRIPTION 
Kisspeptin is a naturally occurring peptide hormone encoded by the KISS1 gene and was originally identified as "metastin" due to its ability to suppress cancer metastasis. In neuroendocrinology, it is recognized as the primary upstream regulator of the reproductive axis, acting directly on GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus. Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest biologically active fragment of the full-length 145-amino acid protein and is widely used in research to stimulate the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Its role is central to the initiation of puberty and the maintenance of adult reproductive function.
Reproductive Axis Control: Research shows it is the most potent stimulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis.
Libido and Arousal: Clinical studies indicate that kisspeptin enhances brain pathways associated with sexual attraction and can increase penile rigidity.
