DESCRIPTION
GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. First isolated from human plasma in 1973, this peptide is found in saliva and urine, though its concentration significantly declines with age. It serves as a vital modulator of tissue remodeling and copper homeostasis, acting as a "carrier peptide" that delivers copper to specific cellular sites. In research settings, GHK-Cu is widely recognized for its ability to influence gene expression, switching cells from a pro-inflammatory or "aged" state to a more regenerative, "youthful" state across various organ systems.
Dermal Regeneration: Research demonstrates a significant increase in the production of collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans, which are foundational to skin density and firmness.
