Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide and a powerful analog of the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide Tuftsin. Protocol Overview

To ensure standardized and accurate dosing at the Biolabs Peptides South Africa facility, each 10mg vial is reconstituted with 3.0 mL of Bacteriostatic Water. This creates a concentration of approximately 3.33 mg (3333 mcg) per mL, making it easier to measure precision micro-doses on a standard U-100 syringe.

Research Protocol Dosing

Concentration Reference:

  • 10mg Vial + 3.0 mL: ~3.33 mg per mL (1 unit = ~33.3 mcg).

The following measurements provide the required units on a U-100 insulin syringe for a daily research schedule. A common cycle consists of 4 weeks of administration followed by a 4-week rest period.

Weeks 1–2: Initial Assessment (300 mcg Daily)

  • Measurement: 9 units on a U-100 syringe.

  • Purpose: To observe initial anxiolytic response and baseline cognitive stability.

Weeks 3–4: Target Research Dose (500 mcg Daily)

  • Measurement: 15 units on a U-100 syringe.

  • Purpose: Studied for peak therapeutic effect on focus, anxiety reduction, and anti-fatigue.

Frequency: Research protocols typically involve one subcutaneous injection daily. Some studies explore a "5 days on, 2 days off" schedule to maintain long-term receptor sensitivity.

Storage

  • Pre-reconstitution (Lyophilized Powder): Store frozen at -20°C (-4°F) for long-term stability (up to 24 months). Keep away from direct sunlight.

  • Post-reconstitution (Liquid Solution): Must be kept refrigerated at 2–8°C (36–46°F). Once mixed, the solution remains stable for approximately 30 days. Avoid repeated temperature fluctuations.

  • Handling: Peptides are delicate; do not shake the vial. Gently swirl or roll until the powder is fully dissolved and the liquid is clear.
