This creates a concentration of approximately 3.33 mg (3333 mcg) per mL, making it easier to measure precision micro-doses on a standard U-100 syringe.

Research Protocol Dosing

The following measurements provide the required units on a U-100 insulin syringe for a daily research schedule. A common cycle consists of 4 weeks of administration followed by a 4-week rest period.

Weeks 1–2: Initial Assessment (300 mcg Daily)

Measurement: 9 units on a U-100 syringe.
